Come along and experience nature in a new way at Preston Park in Butler. On May 31st we will have a Blue Full Moon which is the second one of the month. It's a perfect time to slow down, unplug, and deeply connect with the earth on a guided Forest Therapy Walk! This lovely park provides wooded areas, open fields, tranquil streams, a beautiful pond and a wide variety of trees and plants. As we make our way along the paths, we will pause at different spots where you will be invited to quietly engage in each of your senses to connect with nature. This unique experience will be different for each participant and opportunities will be offered for you to share your thoughts with the group, if you choose. Our walk will close with a Tea Ceremony. During this time we will show our gratitude for all the positive health benefits we receive from nature and reflect on our journey to wellness.
Participants should wear comfortable layers to prepare for the current weather. Walks go on rain or shine. Sturdy shoes are recommended. Walkways vary between grass, dirt, and gravel paths with possible muddy spots and gradual hilly elevations. I would rate this as moderate physical activity. A refillable water bottle is suggested.
I will provide sit-upons for our sensory invitations. You are welcome to bring a lightweight camp chair or stool should you need one. An outdoor bathroom facility is available at this location.
*Registration is required with advance payment to reserve your spot. Space is limited to 12 participants. Walk-ups can not be accommodated.
*Open to Adults and Youth 14+ (with an adult).
* Registration Ends May 30th, 6:00pm.
*Signed Waiver of Liability is required prior to walk. Please download and review both sides of document (linked above), sign and bring with you or sign one upon arrival at the event.
To ensure you are eligible for a full refund, you must cancel at least 5 days before the event date. Please submit your refund request via the email provided in the contact section. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation in adhering to this policy, as it helps me manage attendance and resources effectively. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to get in touch, and I will be happy to help.
Please review both sides of the waiver of liability that is required to be signed before participating in the walk. The waiver link is located above. You may download, sign the document, and bring it to the event or sign the form upon arrival at the event.
